Spreading Comfort and Hope in Elkton - Lisa V
On July 9th, we had the incredible opportunity to visit ChristianaCare Union Hospital in Elkton, MD as part of the Subaru Loves to Care initiative, in partnership with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Ourisman Tri-State Subaru. Thanks to this heartwarming program, we were able to deliver blankets and messages of hope to patients undergoing cancer treatment, spreading comfort and encouragement during a difficult time. We are so grateful for this continued partnership and the compassion shown by the teams at both the hospital and dealership.
Ourisman Tri-State Subaru Teams Up to Support Local Community - Nate R
Imagine going without a coat, shoes, or even socks. For millions of children and adults experiencing homelessness and other urgent need situations across the country, even here in Newark, this is a harsh reality. Helping others strengthens communities, which is why Ourisman Tri-State Subaru is partnering with Operation Warm®, a national nonprofit focused on connecting children with the resources they need to thrive. Through this partnership and other Subaru Loves to Help® efforts, Subaru and retailers like Ourisman Tri-State Subaru have helped nearly 900,000 children and adults in urgent need. On 01/20/2025, Ourisman Tri-State Subaru donated 300 shoes/socks to Friendship House Clothing Bank. These essential items not only help keep children protected, warm, and dry, it can have a significant impact on a child's mental and emotional well-being.

This year we celebrate twelve years of a partnership between Girls on the Run Delaware and Subaru. Our long-standing commitment to one another has certainly lasted the test of time and made a huge difference in our ability to impact the Delaware community. Girls on the Run Delaware has been honored and privileged to have been selected again this year as part of the Subaru Share the Love program. Subaru has lived the Subaru love promise by creating positive change in the lives of the underserved girls and their families we serve in our community. We have been so impressed with the commitment Subaru has shown to our program, our girls, and their families. Because of the generous funding we have received through Share the Love, we have been able to satisfy our strategic goals of reaching many of the underserved girls in our community who may not have otherwise been able to participate in our program. Because of the contributions we have received through Share the Love, we have been able to provide scholarships to hundreds of girls coming from families whose income is less than $20,000 per year. Subaru truly embodies Subaru’s mission of “sharing the love” by enhancing the emotional and physical health of our girls and their families. Together, we are creating a healthier Delaware -- girls, families, and communities. Thanks to the commitment of Subaru, our program continues to grow and thrive and we are proud to say our spring 2025 season was our largest season to date! In the last twelve years, Subaru has supported Girls on the Run Delaware with over $190,000 in contributions and we look forward to continuing our love promise story with Subaru in the years to come. We are committed to helping all girls across Delaware to reach their limitless potential!
Girls on the Run Delaware and Ourisman Tri-State Subaru - Melissa B
With every new Subaru purchased or leased, Subaru will donate $250 to your choice of charities and Ourisman Tri-State Subaru will also donate an additional $100 to Girls on the Run Delaware here in our community for each sold or leased vehicle. Additionally, for every Subaru vehicle routine service visit during the Share the Love Event, Ourisman Tri-State Subaru will donate $5 to our Hometown Charity now through January 2. Since 2013, Subaru has supported Girls on the Run Delaware with over $150,000 in contributions. Because of the generous funding we have received through Share the Love, we have been able to reach many of the underserved girls across Delaware who may not have otherwise been able to participate in our life-changing program.
The Unforeseen Storm - Ashley H
On Thursday, August 8th a tornado destroyed a Eric Trent’s family’s house near Ourisman Tristate Subaru. When power was restored following the storm, Eric received a call from a neighbor informing him that his house was on fire. Eric returned to his home and unfortunately it was too late as the entire house was destroyed from the flames, smoke and water from the fire company. Very little was left unharmed, the family lost all their clothes, shoes, personal belongings, family photos, kid's clothes and toys. Nothing was worth salvaging. Kevin Ellis, a sales representative at Ourisman Tristate Subaru and a personal friend of Eric and family, took action along with The Ourisman Tri-State Subaru team came together with clothes, gift cards, diapers, toys for the children and groceries for this family. The store also provided a check to support them in getting back on their feet. The family have been touched by Ourisman Tri-State Subaru’s kindness, when they needed it the most. The Tri-State Subaru team and community came together to donate sports gear for Subaru's Gear for Good program. We love this initiative! Instead of letting unused items gather dust in our garage or basement, we were able to pass them on to new life! 🙂

Girls on the Run reaches girls at a critical stage, strengthening their confidence at a time when society begins to tell them they can’t. Underscoring the important connection between physical and emotional health, our program addresses the whole girl when she needs it the most. Did you know…97% of girls said they learn critical life skills including resolving conflict, helping others or making intentional decisions. 85% of girls improved in confidence, caring, competence, character development or connection to others. 40% increase in physical activity level among girls who were least active at the start of the season. At an age when girls are constantly trying to measure up to ideas of who they should be or how they should act, Girls on the Run leads them to understand that their potential isn’t just enormous — it’s beyond measure. Ourisman Tri-State Subaru supports Girls on the Run because they are committed to young girls and their transformation, trust building and their all around meaningful engagements for all. This year Ourisman Tri-State Subaru donated $31,000.00 to the Girls on the Run, Delaware and our team members at the dealership volunteered to be running buddies, cheer staff and bell ringing morale for the girls and their 5K North around Rockford Park, Wilmington, Delaware on Saturday, April 27th, 2024. Each season comes to an end with a celebratory 5K. This closing event gives program participants of all abilities a tangible sense of accomplishment. Crossing the finish line instills confidence through completion and is a joyful moment program participants always remember! Everyone in our program receives a commemorative medal to celebrate this incredible achievement.
